Sofia's district election commissions told BTA that more than 1,600 polling stations will open in the 23rd, 24th and 25th districts for the presidential election.
Nearly all will use voting machines. Three stations, one in each district, will not.
The 23rd district has the most stations, 636, including 5 mobile ones and 23 set up by officials. It covers Krasno Selo, Izgrev, Lozenets, Triaditsa, Mladost and Vitosha. Polina Vitanova, deputy chair of the 23rd district election commission, said every station there uses a machine except the one in Plana.
In the 24th district, only one of 503 stations has no machine. The district includes Vazrazhdane, Iskar, Kremikovtsi, Oborishte, Poduyane, Serdika, Slatina and Sredets.
The 25th district has 513 stations, including 7 set up by officials and 3 mobile ones. It covers Bankya, Vrabnitsa, Ilinden, Krasna Polyana, Lyulin, Nadezhda, Novi Iskar and Ovcha Kupel. The only station without a machine is in Bankya.
