Voters will use a machine at 9,373 polling stations across Bulgaria, the Central Election Commission (CEC) has decided. Of these, 2,249 will have two machines. In all, there are 11,622 devices.
Yordan Vasilev told a CEC meeting that stations with 300 to 779 voters get one machine, and stations with more than 780 voters get two.
Georgi Bahanov asked him whether anything besides the number of voters is taken into account. Vasilev said the main factor is how many machines the commission has in total.
CEC spokeswoman Stoyanka Balova said at yesterday's briefing that more than 7,200 machines have already been repaired. She said all 12,800 are expected to be ready by Thursday.
