In Pazardzhik, 93.10% of eligible prosecutors voted in the election of prosecutors' representatives to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).
The polling station at the Palace of Justice closed at 6pm.
Where it began: Prosecutors vote today for four members of Supreme Judicial Council
The SJC said in the morning that four council seats from the professional quota are being filled, and prosecutors across Bulgaria vote on paper ballots. There are 25 candidates for the seats, and 1,567 prosecutors can vote.
Voting began at 8am at 29 polling stations, located at the same sites as the regional courts.
In Pazardzhik, a three-member commission opened the ballot box and counted the ballots. Opening the box, counting, and deciding which ballots were valid were all filmed, and the public could watch live.
The chair of the election commission will decide whether the vote was properly held. The chair must then announce the result for each candidate and the names of those elected by 11pm at the latest.
The commission's decision will be posted on the SJC website.
