A machine vote in section 34 in Haskovo has been declared invalid because the voter filmed it, regional election commission (RIK) chair Ina Veskova told a briefing. The vote will not be counted.

Members of the section commission saw the voter filming and told the RIK. Under Central Election Commission guidelines, he cannot vote again.

Veskova said no machines have stopped in the region, no section has switched to paper, and there have been no complaints or reports of violations.

In five sections, the card was pulled out of the machine before the beep. This happened three times in one of them and once in each of the others. Veskova said there is no evidence of an uncounted vote or of anyone voting twice. If no receipt is printed, a technician is called to check whether the vote was recorded.

Two sections in a school in Haskovo lost power, Veskova said. The municipal administration was told and power has been restored. The machines kept running on batteries and the sections were not moved.
