More on this story: One lane of Danube Bridge at Ruse to close in two stages in October
There are no delays at any crossing on the borders with Romania and Greece. Cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tonnes use Rudozem, Zlatograd, Makaza and Ivaylovgrad. Buses and lorries can also cross at Kulata, Ilinden and Kapitan Petko Voivoda.
Traffic is also flowing without problems at all checkpoints on the borders with Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia.
On 17 October, officials said lanes on the Danube Bridge at Ruse would close in two stages while workers install drainage equipment. The right lane came first, from 19 to 22 October.
Traffic on the bridge is now under controlled flow because of the second stage. A section of the left lane will be closed from 9:00 on 26 October until 17:00 on 29 October 2026. Cars use the open lane in both directions, with a 20-minute interval for each direction. Romanian border authorities have been told about the change.
