Svilengrad council held a second information seminar for people from marginalised communities on 15 October, the council said. Those who took part learned about the town's social services and how they can use some of them.

The seminar is part of the project "Socio-economic integration of marginalised communities in Svilengrad Municipality (using the ITI approach)". It falls under activity 2, "Social inclusion and support through information talks (seminars)". People hired on the project under an employment contract attended, along with members of several vulnerable groups.

Dr Gergana Hristova was the guest speaker on health issues. She spoke about why vaccines matter, what types there are and how people get them. Brochures and leaflets on vaccination were handed out.

People asked many questions. Dr Hristova answered in detail and explained what rights and options for medical care people with health insurance have.

The council says interest in the meeting was high. In survey forms, those who took part rated the information as very useful.

The project contract is No. BG05SFPR002-2.015-0001-C01. It is funded by the Human Resources Development programme 2021-2027, co-funded by the European Union.
