No one was hurt in the 88 fires that firefighters put out across Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, the Interior Ministry's Fire Safety and Population Protection Directorate General said.
Crews responded to 120 reports of incidents in all.
Twelve of the fires did direct damage to property: five to homes, four to vehicles and the rest to other sites. The other 76 fires caused no damage. Dry grass, forest litter and bushes burned in 43 of the fires, the most common cause, and rubbish was set alight in 31.
Firefighters also carried out 28 rescue and assistance operations, five of them after road crashes. Four calls to the fire service turned out to be false alarms.
