Stambolovo councillors will vote on whether to start looking for a company to run the municipality's share of bus routes in the regional transport scheme. The item is on the draft agenda for the council's 48th meeting. The contract would run for five years.
The municipality has eight routes, with 15 runs in all, either daily or at weekends. The report to councillors says that if they approve the procedure, the operator will be chosen under the Public Procurement Act.
The agenda has 10 items. Councillors will also vote on whether the municipality should draw up a project proposal and apply under the programme "Active Life for Older People of Retirement Age and Healthy Ageing". It offers up to €78,329 in grant funding.
The agenda also includes one-off financial aid for two residents. One of them lives in the village of Pchelari, where his house burned down in a fire. If councillors back the proposal, he will get €900 to restore the property.
