Bulgaria and Greece have agreed to return the remains of Tsar Samuil, prime minister Rumen Radev said as he opened the government's weekly meeting.
He called the deal historic and said it followed intense talks between Sofia and Athens.
"On Saturday, October 3, at 12:30 p.m., I invite all Bulgarians to Battenberg Square in front of the Prince's Palace in Sofia, so we can welcome the remains together and pay tribute to the great Bulgarian ruler," Radev said.
