Protesters gathered outside the Council of Ministers in Sofia at noon today, demanding answers over restoration work at the Shipka Freedom Monument.
They want government officials to meet them and explain the repairs. Shipka is a symbol of Bulgaria, they said, and belongs to all Bulgarians.
Carrying Bulgarian flags, the protesters chanted "Resign" and "Long live Bulgaria." Police were on the scene.
No one filed official notice for the protest, Sofia council told BTA.
