A BTA reporter saw police cordon off the area around the fountain in front of the presidency in Sofia after a suitcase and a backpack were left there. Many police officers and Gendarmerie teams are at the scene, the reporter said.
Traffic in the area is moving without delays.
Earlier today, Sofia police said they had received reports of bombs in kindergartens, schools, other educational institutions and public offices. More reports keep coming in.
The Sofia Directorate of the Interior (SDVR) said police are following procedure both over the suitcase and backpack and over the reports.
