Repairs to Bulgaria's voting machines are on schedule, Central Election Commission (CIK) spokeswoman Stoyanka Balova told a briefing. About 2,000 machines that were being fixed now work fully.
The commission has decided in which countries and places polling stations will open abroad, and how many there will be in each town or city. Nearly 40,000 Bulgarians abroad have applied to vote in the coming presidential election.
Tomorrow at 9:30am, the commission will meet parties represented in parliament at the National Assembly. They will discuss who takes which roles and who will represent them on the polling station commissions abroad. The commission must appoint these members by 12 October.
