The Patent Office says the first micro, small and medium-sized firms that applied for financial support have been approved.
The firms will get back the cost of preparing documents to register intellectual property rights. In some cases, the state fees they paid will also be refunded.
Project No. BG16RFPR001-1.007-0001-C01 is funded under the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises programme for 2021-2027. The European Union co-funds it through the European Regional Development Fund.
The office says the project gives small and medium-sized firms a good chance to develop and protect their intellectual property rights. It expects applications to be fully online soon, which it says will make applying easier.
The report is part of the joint "Made in Bulgaria" series by BTA and the Patent Office. Each week, the series features Bulgarians listed in the Patent Office's Golden Book, and the office's work.
