Bulgarian doctors from abroad and from Bulgaria will give lectures, run workshops and go through clinical cases in Plovdiv from 30 October to 1 November. The Association of Bulgarian Medical Professionals Abroad (BAMPA) announced the event.
"BAMPA Academy 2026" is for senior medical students and trainee doctors. Classes take place at the Simulation Training Centre of the Medical University of Plovdiv.
Visiting specialists lead the sessions, and colleagues from hospitals in Bulgaria join the discussions. Topics include acute and chronic conditions, palliative care, refusal of resuscitation and intubation, talking to patients, and other subjects.
According to the BAMPA website, the academy aims to pass on knowledge that doctors can use in practice, show what specialists from different fields gain by working together, and encourage clinical thinking and dialogue between specialities.
BAMPA is a non-governmental organisation that brings together independent specialist doctors, trainee doctors and other health professionals. On its website, it describes its mission as building an active community that supports the development of medical professionals.
