Bulgaria's energy regulator KEVR has set payments for September 2026 that cover part of the electricity costs of household customers of the final suppliers, the commission said.
Customers of ESP Zlatni Pyasatsi will get €85.44 per MWh before VAT. For the other three firms, the payment is between €24.41 and €24.56 per MWh before VAT. It is €24.41 for Elektrohold Prodazhbi and €24.56 for EVN Bulgaria Elektrosnabdyavane and ENERGO-PRO Prodazhbi.
The payments cover 1 to 30 September. KEVR said it pays them because in September the market price of the electricity the firms buy was above the yearly base price. That price is €74.54 per MWh before VAT. The commission set it in a decision that applies from 1 July 2026.
Each final supplier gets the money from the Electricity System Security Fund. The payment is already included in advance in customers' bills. It is part of the support for households introduced through changes to the Energy Act.
The market price of the electricity the firms bought was also above the yearly base price in July, BTA recalls.
