The cabinet has approved changes to the organisational rules of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy that cut its total staffing by 11 posts, the Council of Ministers' press office said.
The posts go after an internal reorganisation and the closure of positions that have long been vacant.
The changes also clarify and update the tasks of the ministry's departments. The rules now comply with the Administrative Procedure Code and set out how the ministry receives citizens and representatives of organisations and hears their proposals and complaints.
The press office said the changes serve the government's goal of a more efficient state administration and lower staff costs.
In early October, a draft of changes to the rules of the Social Assistance Agency was published for public comment. It would cut the number of regional social assistance directorates from 28 to 13.
