Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing found cigarettes and cut tobacco without duty stamps hidden in four cars, regional police in Haskovo say. They seized 5,000 cigarettes and one kilogram of cut tobacco and filed reports under the Excise Duty Act.
Near the village of Varbovo, officers found 23 cannabis plants, some up to 2.20 meters tall, and pulled them up. Police have opened a criminal case.
