Prosecutors are voting again today in a run-off for the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), with all 29 polling sections open across Bulgaria. In Yambol, 23 prosecutors can vote, local election commission chair Milena Kirova told BTA.

On Saturday, prosecutors voted for four SJC members from the professional quota. None of the 25 candidates won more than 50% of the votes, so no one was elected. That is why a second round is being held today.

Of the Yambol voters, 15 work at the District Prosecutor's Office and 8 at the Regional Prosecutor's Office. In the first round, 19 of them voted, and all their paper ballots were valid.

Section 28 is in courtroom 3 at the Regional Court in Yambol. It opened at 8:00am sharp and will close at 6:00pm. Kirova said one prosecutor had already voted and the mood was calm.

Because of the vote, only commission members, prosecutors on the voter list, observers, party representatives and accredited journalists can enter the court building today.
