A 33-year-old man from the village of Dobrich tried to flee a police check in Haskovo and crashed into a guardrail. Police detained him, the regional police directorate (ODMVR) in Haskovo said in its bulletin on 14 October.
He was visibly drunk and refused tests for alcohol and drugs.
He already has a penalty decree in force for driving without a licence.
