Germany, France, and Spain produced 508.7, 156.1, and 150.2 gigawatt-hours of wind energy, respectively, over the last 24 hours, according to data from the WindEurope Power Numbers platform. During this period, wind energy accounted for a total of 21.5 percent of Europe's consumption.
Onshore wind turbines generated 17.9 percent of the total amount (1320 gigawatt-hours), while offshore wind farms accounted for 3.6 percent (165 gigawatt-hours).
The development of wind energy in Europe is part of a broader energy strategy that will affect electricity prices and the energy balance in Bulgaria and the Burgas region.
In Bulgaria, wind energy's share of the energy mix stands at 0.3 percent, with a total production of 0.4 gigawatt-hours. The highest proportions of wind energy usage in national energy mixes over the last 24 hours were recorded in Denmark (68.2 percent), Lithuania (59.3 percent), and Ireland (49.8 percent).
