Vazrazhdane will ask the government to explain a visit to Bulgaria by Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky's office, party leader Kostadin Kostadinov said in the corridors of parliament.
The party will send a letter to the Council of Ministers' office today. It asks why Budanov came and what talks he held.
Kostadinov said Vazrazhdane learned of the visit yesterday and then checked the information. No one told his party about it, he said, and he suspects other parties were not told either.
Kostadinov said Budanov arrived almost at the same time as a meeting of the Consultative Council for National Security, which was discussing wording for talks on peace in the Black Sea. "To me it is a case of very serious political hypocrisy," he said.
The Vazrazhdane leader claims that once again the country's security has been put at risk. He says prime minister Rumen Radev is hiding the visit because voters would not like it.
