Police found the body of a 67-year-old local man in the boot of a crashed car in Dimitrovgrad. His wife, 32, and her 14-year-old son have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the crime, the press office of the regional police directorate in Haskovo said.
The car hit a waste container in the Mariyno district. The report came in on the 112 emergency number at 23:40 last night.
A police team sent to the scene opened the boot while moving the vehicle. Inside was the body of a man, wrapped in a blanket.
Detectives detained the woman and the boy during a search operation near the scene of the crash. The woman can be held for up to 24 hours, and the minor has been placed under police protection.
In mid-September, another man, 51, was detained in the same town and charged with premeditated murder of a 38-year-old. Haskovo District Court ordered him held in custody.
