The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation meets today. Two ordinances and a bill to amend the Labour Code are on the agenda, the government press office said.
The labour and social policy minister has tabled drafts of the two decrees. One changes the ordinance on the boards of trustees and advisory boards of supplementary pension funds and payment funds. The other changes the ordinance on the structure and organisation of pay.
The bill to amend and supplement the Labour Code was submitted by Kostadin Kostadinov and a group of MPs.
At the end of September, parliament passed at second reading changes to the Labour Code that set a new way of fixing the minimum wage.
Under the bill, the nationwide minimum wage will be set using four criteria: purchasing power against the cost of living, the overall level of wages and how they are spread, the pace of wage growth, and long-term levels of labour productivity in the country.
