The search for sailors from the stricken ship HS Dignity in the Black Sea resumed at 10:30 am today, the press office of the Ministry of Transport and Communications said. A Navy ship will search the area.

This story follows our earlier report on President Iliana Iotova's cancelled visit to Veliko Tarnovo, after drones hit two ships in Bulgaria's economic zone in the Black Sea.

Yesterday, 9 ships, 2 helicopters and vessels passing near the area took part in the search. It went on for 16 hours without a break. At 6:00 pm the active phase was paused because of darkness and bad weather and sea conditions.

The Chelsea 3, a ship sailing under the Maltese flag, was attacked 17 nautical miles east of Byala. All 15 members of its crew were rescued.

The HS Dignity, which flies the flag of Guinea-Bissau, sank after a drone strike 17 nautical miles east of Shabla.

Prime minister Rumen Radev, who yesterday reported new drone attacks on ships in the Black Sea, called them completely unacceptable.

Navigation warnings urging extra caution and closer watch are still being sent to all vessels passing through the area.
