Prime minister Rumen Radev will join the Euronews Defence and Space Summit 2026 in Brussels, the government press office says. At 11:45 he will also sit down for a separate Euronews interview, where he'll talk about Europe's security and defence and the growing space sector.
The summit brings together politicians, defence and industry figures and experts to discuss the future of European security and defence. The press office says the talks will cover policy, technology and partnerships, along with the challenges and opportunities facing Europe's defence and space industries.
Radev was in Brussels in June for the regular European Council summit, where he spoke with Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky, who attended as a guest. The two discussed Bulgaria's role in the region's energy security — natural gas supplies, electricity generation and transmission, and the transfer of drone-making technology to Bulgaria.
