Prosecutors have asked for a European arrest warrant for the two people charged over the arson attack on Starlink antennas near Sofia, Yes, Bulgaria co-leader Ivaylo Mirchev said on Facebook. The request is dated 19 October. The party says the two have left Bulgaria and nobody knows where they are. Sofia City Court will hear the request.
News of the arson attack on 11 Starlink antennas at a secret site near Sofia broke on the evening of 12 October, when Mirchev described it on Facebook as deliberate. Yes, Bulgaria says the interior ministry and the security services kept quiet about it for three days, and that the party made the information public.

Two days later, on 14 October, prime minister Rumen Radev spoke from the floor of parliament and called on Plamen Tonchev, head of the State Agency for National Security (DANS), not to give details. Radev said that if the exact findings were made public, the state would not get the result it wants. He said the investigation was under control. "A little more patience, you will have a result," Radev said, according to Yes, Bulgaria.
Mirchev's questions include when the accused left the country, when the security services found out, and what Radev knew when he promised a quick success.
The party says Radev personally owes the public an answer on who is responsible, what has been achieved and what has been missed.
