Ministers are meeting to review the report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget, along with the annual report on last year's government debt. That's according to the preliminary agenda released by the cabinet's press office.
Also on the table is a project for the maintenance of waterways along the Danube and its tributaries — officials must approve how the infrastructure there will be repaired and maintained.
The agenda also includes a change to the Program for Humanitarian Support and Integration of Displaced Persons from Ukraine who have received temporary protection in Bulgaria.
The government will also review amendments to the Criminal Code.
The cabinet is also set to approve an annex to the agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It will be used to monitor and verify investment in new power generation capacity from renewable sources, including energy storage.
The meeting is expected to pass a change to the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for 2023-2027. Ministers will also discuss the conditions under which municipalities can take out interest-free temporary loans from the central budget. The funds are meant to cover expenses under already approved support applications under the plan.
The agenda also includes several proposals for additional spending under the budgets of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health.
The cabinet will also consider additional spending under the budget of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The funds are for the Program for Financing Youth Centers in Bulgaria for 2026-2028.
