Euro falls to $1.1298 under ECB rate for October 1

The European Central Bank set its euro reference rate at $1.1298 on October 1, down from $1.1355 the day before.

The European Central Bank set the euro's rate at 1.1298 US dollars on October 1, down from 1.1355 the day before.

One dollar now buys 0.8851 euros, up from 0.8807 the previous day.

The Bulgarian National Bank lists the same rates in its daily table, as required under article 12, paragraph 1 of the Currency Act. The rates are for official use only — the bank does not recommend using them for actual deals.

Among regional currencies, one euro buys 5.2830 Romanian lei, 24.459 Czech koruna, 367.18 Hungarian forint, 4.3735 Polish zloty and 55.3993 Turkish lira. The British pound trades at 0.85373 per euro, the Swiss franc at 0.9437, and the Japanese yen at 178.49.

The Danish krone stands at 7.4758, the Swedish krona at 11.3310, the Norwegian krone at 10.8750, and the Icelandic krona at 137.00.

The Chinese yuan is at 7.5748, and the Hong Kong dollar at 8.8658. The Indian rupee is at 108.8320, the South Korean won at 1,537.96, and the Indonesian rupiah at 20,274.71. The Singapore dollar stands at 1.4460, the Malaysian ringgit at 4.6147, the Thai baht at 38.023, the Philippine peso at 70.950 and the Israeli shekel at 3.4755.

The Canadian dollar is at 1.6095 per euro, the Australian dollar at 1.6255, the New Zealand dollar at 2.0121, the Mexican peso at 20.5251, the Brazilian real at 5.8620, and the South African rand at 18.6934. The table also shows the reverse — how many euros one unit of each currency buys. One yen, for instance, is worth 0.005603 euros, and one leu is worth 0.1893 euros.
