Two motorcycles and an Audi passenger car were involved in a crash on the I-5 main road towards the Greek border via the Makaza checkpoint, the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Kardzhali reported. The incident was recorded today at 17:20.
Due to the accident, traffic on the section between kilometer 356 Sedlari – Zagorsko is temporarily restricted, according to the Road Infrastructure Agency. A Road Police team is on-site managing the traffic.
Police officers are implementing diversion schemes: drivers from the „Dzhebel“ stop via the town of Dzhebel, and those from the village of Zagorsko via the town of Dzhebel, are being redirected onto alternative routes. The following detour has been established to pass through the affected section:
- Sedlari – Momchilgrad – Progress – Podkova – Ostrovets
An operational duty team will conduct an on-site investigation to determine the specific details of the crash.
