Two people, a man, 20, and a woman, 30, died yesterday in a head-on crash between two cars. The crash happened on the road between the village of Sadievo in Aytos municipality and the village of Mirolyubovo in Burgas municipality, the regional Interior Ministry directorate in Burgas said.
Both were at the wheel and died at the scene.
Interior Ministry data published on its website show that 27 serious crashes in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours killed three people and injured 36.
In Sofia, two serious crashes over the 24 hours left two people injured and no one dead. There were also 24 minor accidents.
Since the start of October, Bulgaria has recorded 229 road accidents with injuries or deaths. They left 22 people dead and 292 injured.
So far this year, 5,393 accidents with injuries or deaths have been recorded. They have left 390 people dead and 6,692 injured.
In the same period of 2025, actual data show 336 deaths. This year the figure is 54 higher.
