DPS leader Delyan Peevski will refer the matter to the prosecutor's office regarding statements made by Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev, he told journalists in the parliamentary corridors.
The reaction was prompted by Minister Demerdzhiev's claim that companies involved in the supply of raincoats had diverted funds to a "piggy bank company," which in turn paid for Peevski's flights. "Everything said today is a fabrication, yet another episode of Demerdzhiev Pictures," the DPS leader shared.
Peevski emphasized that he and his family paid for their own flights and possesses documentation to prove it. He added: "Under no circumstances have I or my family participated in public procurement processes".
The discussion on the effectiveness of fuel price measures is relevant to households and businesses in Burgas and the entire region.
Regarding the government's proposed measures to reduce fuel prices, the DPS leader expressed doubt about their effectiveness. "In my opinion, the measures are insufficient," he said, adding that it will only be determined whether they are adequate and effective once they are implemented.
