By noon, police had reported 13 threats sent by email. That figure covered the whole Haskovo region, while the new count includes only the two towns.
The threats were aimed at public offices and schools in the region. Police said checks started at once in every affected building under a set protocol, and no outsiders were let in.
The heads of the offices and schools decide whether work and lessons continue.
According to early reports, by noon there had been threats against four schools in Haskovo and three in Dimitrovgrad. Schools in Merichleri, in the village of Ivanovo in Harmanli municipality, and in the village of Radievo in Dimitrovgrad municipality also got threats. So did kindergartens in Ivaylovgrad and in the village of Chernogorovo in Dimitrovgrad municipality, and the Haskovo courthouse.
Threats also came in the same day in Burgas, Shumen, Lovech and Razgrad. In Sofia, they targeted kindergartens, schools and public offices.
